Three Year Olds and Junior Kindergarten
Children who are 3 years of age and children who are eligible for Junior Kindergarten are accepted into this program. There is one teacher for every 12 students.
French is the primary language used in the room, and as the students level of proficiency in comprehension and oral communication increase, so will the amount of instructional time in French. Children learn best thru play and hands-on activities in a stimulating learning environment that accommodate their needs and facilitate their growth and development. Individual, small group, and whole group activities are the teaching norm.
Instruction in English reading and writing is a component of the program. Report cards are distributed in February and June. |

Senior Kindergarten to Grade 3
Children who are eligible for Senior Kindergarten to Grade 3 are accepted into this program. There is one teacher for every 15 students.
French is the language of instruction in this room on a full-time basis. The teachers in this room provide appropriate learning experiences that enable the children to learn to communicate in a second language, and the individual needs of the children are met by adjusting the teaching methods and materials as required. The accumulated hours of French instruction will meet, if not exceed, the requirement as set out by the Toronto Board of Education, thereby making for an easy transition into the French Immersion program within the Toronto Board of Education in Grade 4.
